betting a share with period of Dec-16

I'm considering a long spread bet on a share that I think will do well over the next 6 months to a year, and seen prices quoted on IG for 'Period: Dec-16'. Does that mean the price I buy at now, holds til then, and there is no rolling over fee/daily fee?

And if I do take it out, can I close it off at any time?
