Impossible to profit on spread betting small moves

I'm increasingly finding out that even if I have a trade that makes a GROSS PROFIT on a small move trade of like 10 - 20 points, when the margin costs are considered, my NET PROFIT always end ups slightly in the negative. Its like I need a very large price move >50 - 100 points just to break even my margin costs! I wonder how do people even achieve the NET profit range from spread betting if its like this??
